AquaFun's journey began in 1995 when siblings Emma and Michael Reynolds, passionate water sports enthusiasts, decided to transform their family's 15-acre property into a small water attraction with just three slides and a wave pool. Their vision was simple: create a place where families could experience the joy of water in a safe, exciting environment.
What started as a modest local attraction quickly gained popularity, and by 2000, AquaFun had expanded to include ten slides, two wave pools, and a lazy river. The turning point came in 2005 when the Reynolds partnered with renowned aquatic engineer Dr. James Henderson, whose innovative water attraction designs helped AquaFun introduce the region's first interactive water playground and the record-breaking "Typhoon Tunnel" slide.
Over the next decade, AquaFun continued its remarkable growth, opening three more locations across the country and pioneering new water attraction technologies, including the world's first "Gravity Loop" water slide in 2012. In 2018, AquaFun merged with European water attraction developer Aqua Ventures, allowing the company to expand internationally while maintaining its family-oriented values and commitment to innovation.
Today, AquaFun operates seven world-class water parks across three continents, welcoming over 5 million visitors annually. Despite our growth, we remain true to Emma and Michael's original vision—creating unforgettable water experiences that bring joy to people of all ages while prioritizing safety, sustainability, and continuous innovation.
